Sub or dub? Choose the version that suits how you watch

Compare subtitle and dubbed audio options, then make the player comfortable for you.

Choose for your viewing situation

Subtitled audio lets you hear the original-language performances while reading a translation. Dubbed audio can be easier when reading subtitles is tiring or when you need to divide your attention. Neither choice is a test of whether you are a real fan.

Make subtitles readable

In the player, open Settings, then Subtitle Style. Start with Normal text size and adjust it for your screen. White text with an outline and a transparent background is the site default. Use a larger size if the words are difficult to read rather than moving closer to the screen.

Check each episode

Audio and caption availability can differ between episodes and sources. A source that offers subtitles is not necessarily a dubbed version. The Audio selector changes the version where both are available; check the indicated availability rather than assuming every title has both.

Switch without losing your place

The built-in player preserves your current position when switching available audio versions. Separate edits can have timing differences, so check the next few seconds after switching. If you choose another external player, its controls and behavior may differ.
